Senior Sales Associate - Contemporary Home Furnishings

The successful candidate will be integral in the future growth and success of this company. We will provide with hands-on showroom training to sell a complete line of upholstery, as well as dining room, bedroom, art, rugs and accessories.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the co-owner/manager your responsibilities will include:
- Greeting, qualifying, assisting clients, closing sales.
- Demonstrate and highlight a product's features and benefits.
- Merchandise showroom, displays, signage.
- Complete various types of paperwork with accuracy .
- Assist in inventory product selection.
- Plan and implement various detailed tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven sales success with 7 years (minimum) experience.
- Furniture retail & design experience a plus.
- College Diploma or University Degree preferred.Valid BC Drivers License and access to a car.
- Working knowledge of MS office.

- Excellent conversational and listening skills are a must.
- Intuitive, observant and able to see and hear not only what is said, but what is NOT said as well.
- Creative flair and passion for helping people with their home design projects .
- Positive, sparkly personality.
- Strong work ethic.
- Willingness to be mentored, take direction, coachable.
- Prompt and reliable.
- Self confident and can handle "rejection" without getting discouraged.
- Self starter who enjoys minimal or at times, no supervision.
- Mature professional, demeanor.
- Ability to independently make decisions and problem solve.
- Organized, with a capacity to handle numerous details.
Availability
Must be available to work 5 consecutive days: Wednesday through to Sunday.
Compensation
Competitive base salary, with generous commission.
